A Warm Welcome from Kadek
On the morning of the tour, our driver, Kadek, arrived at our hotel in Ubud exactly at the scheduled pickup time.
From the very beginning, he was warm, friendly, and professional. During the drive to North Bali, he shared interesting information about the villages, temples, and beautiful landscapes we passed along the way, making the journey feel like part of the adventure rather than simply transportation.
His safe driving and welcoming personality allowed us to relax and fully enjoy the trip.
Into the Heart of Bali’s Ancient Rainforest
When we reached the starting point, we met our local trekking guide, Gede, who would accompany us throughout the jungle adventure.
Gede spoke excellent English, making it easy to understand everything he shared about the rainforest, local plants, wildlife, village traditions, and Balinese culture. His explanations were engaging and informative, helping us appreciate not only the scenery but also the history and significance of the places we visited.
The trekking route was perfectly designed.
It offered just the right balance of adventure and comfort. There were enough uphill and downhill sections to make the hike exciting, while regular rest stops allowed everyone to enjoy the surroundings without feeling rushed.
Walking beneath towering tropical trees, listening to birds singing in the forest canopy, and breathing the cool mountain air was an unforgettable experience. The peaceful atmosphere made us feel as though we had discovered a hidden side of Bali that many visitors never get to see.
Safety and Hospitality Every Step of the Way
Throughout the trek, Gede was constantly attentive to our safety.
Whenever we encountered steeper or more slippery sections of the trail, he patiently offered assistance and ensured we felt comfortable before continuing. His calm and caring approach made us feel completely at ease, allowing us to simply enjoy the adventure.
He also had another talent—photography!
Without ever needing to ask, Gede frequently offered to take pictures of us at the most scenic viewpoints. Thanks to him, we returned home with beautiful photographs that perfectly captured the memories of our first adventure in Bali.
Discovering Hidden Waterfalls
After completing the jungle trek, the adventure continued with visits to two beautiful waterfalls hidden among the lush tropical forest.
The cool, crystal-clear water and peaceful surroundings created the perfect contrast to the excitement of the hike. We took our time relaxing, enjoying the refreshing atmosphere, listening to the sound of cascading water, and simply appreciating the beauty of nature.
It was the ideal way to unwind after trekking through the rainforest.
A Delicious Finish to a Perfect Day
To complete the experience, we enjoyed a delicious traditional Balinese lunch.
After a morning filled with hiking and exploring, the meal was exactly what we needed. Fresh local flavours, warm hospitality, and the chance to sit back and reflect on everything we had experienced made for the perfect ending to an incredible day.
