Our visit to Sambangan Waterfalls with Bali Local Tour Guide turned out to be one of the most exciting and memorable days of our family holiday in Bali.

When we arrived in Sambangan Village, we were warmly welcomed by our two local trekking guides.
Their friendliness and enthusiasm immediately made us feel comfortable, and throughout the entire trek they stayed with us, ensuring everyone—including the children—felt safe while enjoying every part of the adventure.
The trek led us through lush tropical rainforest, peaceful village paths, and some of the most beautiful natural scenery we experienced during our stay in Bali.
One by one, we discovered several spectacular waterfalls hidden deep within the valley.
Each waterfall had its own unique character, and every stop seemed even more beautiful than the last.
Swimming in the Famous Blue Lagoon
One of the highlights of the day was swimming in the crystal-clear Blue Lagoon Nature Pool.
The refreshing mountain water provided the perfect opportunity to cool down after hiking through the jungle.
The children absolutely loved swimming in the natural pools, while the adults simply enjoyed relaxing and taking in the peaceful surroundings.
It was one of those places where you could happily spend hours enjoying nature.
Walking Through Rice Fields and Local Villages
The adventure wasn’t only about waterfalls.
Along the way, we walked through beautiful rice terraces and traditional farming areas, where we experienced a much more authentic side of Bali than the busy tourist destinations in the south.
The guides explained local farming practices and shared interesting stories about village life, giving us a deeper understanding of how local communities live and work.
It made the experience feel much richer than simply visiting beautiful scenery.
A Warm Welcome from a Local Farmer
One of the most memorable moments of the day was visiting a local farmer at his home.
Rather than simply passing through the village, we were welcomed with genuine Balinese hospitality and invited to sample several local products grown on the farm.
We enjoyed refreshing young coconut, fresh cocoa, and fragrant lemongrass while learning about the different crops cultivated in the region.
This personal interaction gave us a wonderful opportunity to connect with local people and experience everyday village life firsthand.
Cliff Jumping and Natural Water Slides
As the trek continued, the adventure became even more exciting.
We reached a series of waterfalls where those feeling adventurous could experience 10-metre cliff jumping and slide down smooth natural rock formations carved by flowing water over countless years.
Watching our children challenge themselves and enjoy these incredible natural playgrounds was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the day.
The guides carefully explained every activity, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and safe before participating.
Whether jumping into the deep natural pools or sliding down the waterfalls, the excitement and laughter never stopped.
A Perfect Ending with Traditional Lunch
After an action-packed day of hiking, swimming, and exploring, we finished the adventure with delicious lunch boxes prepared for us.
Enjoying a satisfying meal while reflecting on everything we had experienced was the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.
