Our day began long before sunrise with a comfortable 3:00 AM pickup from our hotel in Ubud. Although it was an early start, the excitement of the adventure ahead made every minute worthwhile. Our driver arrived on time, and the journey to Bali’s peaceful northern coastline was smooth and relaxing.
As dawn approached, we boarded a traditional Balinese fishing boat and headed out onto the calm waters of Lovina Beach. Watching wild dolphins swimming freely in their natural habitat as the sun slowly rose over the ocean was simply magical. Seeing these playful creatures leap beside the boat was an unforgettable experience and the perfect way to begin the day.
After our dolphin tour, we continued into the beautiful highlands of North Bali for the next part of our adventure—the Twin Lake Jungle Trek. Surrounded by pristine rainforest, our experienced local guide led us through lush jungle trails, towering tropical trees, and peaceful mountain scenery. Along the way, he shared fascinating stories about the local ecosystem, medicinal plants, and Balinese traditions, making the trek both enjoyable and educational.
One of the highlights of the journey was crossing the tranquil waters of Lake Tamblingan in a traditional wooden canoe. Gliding silently across the sacred lake, surrounded by mist-covered rainforest and ancient temples hidden among the trees, felt like stepping back in time. The peaceful atmosphere and untouched beauty of this sacred landscape made it one of the most memorable moments of our trip.
After the trek, we were welcomed with a delicious homemade Balinese lunch prepared using fresh local ingredients. The authentic flavours and warm hospitality provided the perfect opportunity to relax while reflecting on the incredible experiences of the morning.
What impressed us most was how seamlessly the entire day was organised. From the early morning hotel pickup and dolphin watching to the jungle trekking, canoe crossing, traditional lunch, and comfortable return journey to Ubud, every detail was handled professionally. We never had to worry about transportation or logistics—everything was perfectly arranged, allowing us to fully enjoy each moment.
This tour combines some of the very best experiences North Bali has to offer in a single unforgettable day. Watching dolphins at sunrise, trekking through the ancient rainforest, canoeing across the sacred waters of Lake Tamblingan, and enjoying authentic Balinese cuisine created memories that will stay with us forever.
We highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to discover the authentic natural beauty of Bali beyond the usual tourist attractions. It was an incredible day filled with adventure, breathtaking scenery, local culture, and genuine Balinese hospitality from beginning to end.
