We visited the peaceful Twin Lakes of Buyan and Tamblingan, surrounded by ancient rainforest and cool mountain air, offering a completely different atmosphere from Bali’s southern beaches.
Our journey also included relaxing in the natural Batur Hot Springs, where soaking in the warm mineral-rich water after our adventures was the perfect way to unwind.
No visit to Bali would be complete without witnessing the magical sunsets at Tanah Lot Temple and the dramatic clifftop setting of Uluwatu Temple, two of the island’s most iconic cultural landmarks.
Each destination was thoughtfully scheduled to maximise our time while avoiding unnecessary rushing between attractions.
Conquering Mount Batur at Sunrise
One of the highlights of our holiday was undoubtedly climbing Mount Batur for sunrise.
Although the early morning start was challenging, the reward was beyond anything we had imagined.
Our local trekking guide, Ali, was absolutely fantastic.
His patience, encouragement, and experience helped every member of our family successfully reach the summit.
Without his guidance and constant support, we honestly don’t think we would have completed the climb.
Watching the sunrise illuminate the volcanic landscape while standing above the clouds became one of the most unforgettable moments of our entire trip.
It was an achievement our family will always remember.
Adventure on Bali’s Rivers
Our adventure continued with an exciting white water rafting experience.
For our family, it offered the perfect balance of excitement and safety.
The professional instructors made us feel comfortable from the very beginning, allowing us to fully enjoy navigating the rapids while surrounded by Bali’s lush rainforest scenery.
It was thrilling enough to create lasting memories while still being suitable for the whole family.
