Some Bali adventures are about beautiful scenery, while others are about stepping outside your comfort zone and creating memories that stay with you long after the journey ends.
For Elia and her friends, their adventure took them from Ubud to the lush northern part of Bali, where they spent a memorable day exploring Sambangan Village and the spectacular Aling-Aling Waterfalls.
What started as a private waterfall trekking experience became a day filled with nature, adventure, laughter, and plenty of adrenaline.

A Morning Journey from Ubud to Sambangan
The day began early on 15 August 2026.
At exactly 7:30 AM, our team arrived at the guests’ hotel in Ubud for their scheduled pickup. The four guests were ready for their adventure, and after a warm welcome, we began the journey toward Sambangan Village in North Bali.
As we left the busier areas of central Bali behind, the scenery gradually changed. The journey toward North Bali offered glimpses of traditional villages, green landscapes, and the quieter side of the island.
The guests were excited to discover a different side of Bali—one that combines authentic village life with beautiful natural surroundings and adventure.
Arriving in Sambangan Village
After reaching Sambangan Village, the group met their local guide, Dwi Cahyadi, who would accompany them throughout the experience.
Before heading toward the waterfalls, the journey began by exploring the surrounding landscape of Sambangan.
Walking through the Sambangan rice fields, the guests had an opportunity to experience the peaceful atmosphere of rural Bali. Away from the crowds of the main tourist areas, the village offered a more authentic perspective of the island.
The walk through the rice fields was a relaxing introduction to the adventure ahead.
From the green terraces and village surroundings, the group continued deeper into the natural landscape of Sambangan.
Discovering the Blue Lagoon
One of the highlights along the route was the beautiful Blue Lagoon.
Surrounded by tropical greenery and natural rock formations, the lagoon provided a refreshing stop during the trek.
The clear blue-green water and peaceful surroundings created the perfect opportunity for the guests to take photographs, enjoy the scenery, and appreciate the natural beauty of Sambangan.
But the biggest adventure was still waiting ahead.
Exploring Aling-Aling Waterfalls
The journey continued toward the famous Aling-Aling Waterfalls, one of the most exciting waterfall destinations in North Bali.
As the group approached the waterfall area, the atmosphere became more adventurous. Surrounded by tropical forest, flowing water, and dramatic natural landscapes, the guests quickly understood why Sambangan is such a special destination for adventure lovers.
With Dwi Cahyadi guiding them along the route, Elia and her friends were able to explore the waterfall area while enjoying the experience at their own pace.
The combination of trekking, nature, and adventure made the experience much more than simply visiting a waterfall.
For Elia and her friends, one of the most exciting parts of the day was getting involved in the waterfall activities.
They bravely tried the natural waterfall sliding experience, enjoying the rush of sliding through the flowing water before plunging into the refreshing pools below.
But the adventure did not stop there.
The group also took on the challenge of cliff jumping from approximately 5 to 15 meters.
For some travelers, jumping from a natural cliff can be an intimidating experience. But Elia and her friends embraced the challenge with enthusiasm.
One by one, they took the leap.
The excitement, laughter, and adrenaline made these moments some of the most memorable parts of their Sambangan adventure.
It was clear that the group was not simply visiting the waterfalls—they were genuinely experiencing them.
Throughout the adventure, the group was accompanied by our local guide, Dwi Cahyadi.
Having a local guide is an important part of a waterfall trekking experience, especially when exploring natural terrain involving rivers, rocks, steps, and waterfall activities.
Dwi helped guide the guests throughout the route, making sure they were comfortable and supported while enjoying the different activities.
His friendly approach also helped create a relaxed atmosphere, allowing Elia and her friends to fully enjoy their day in Sambangan.
For us, a good trekking experience is not only about reaching a destination. It is also about how guests feel throughout the journey.
A Day Filled with Adventure and Happy Memories
By the end of the experience, Elia and her friends had experienced many different sides of Sambangan in a single day.
They had walked through rice fields, discovered the Blue Lagoon, explored the Aling-Aling Waterfalls, tried waterfall sliding, and challenged themselves with 5–15 meter cliff jumps.
Most importantly, they enjoyed the experience together.
Their excitement and happiness throughout the day were a wonderful reminder of why we love creating private trekking experiences in North Bali.
Sometimes, the best Bali memories are not created by simply seeing a beautiful place.
They are created by doing something together, challenging yourself, laughing with friends, and experiencing something completely different from everyday life.
After completing their Sambangan adventure, Elia and her friends kindly shared a 5-star review on TripAdvisor.
For our team, receiving a 5-star review is always deeply appreciated.
It means that the experience we worked to create—from the punctual morning pickup in Ubud to the guidance in Sambangan—was able to meet and exceed our guests’ expectations.
We are especially grateful to Elia and her friends for trusting us with their adventure and for taking the time to share their experience.
Their happiness is the best reward for our team and our local guide, Dwi Cahyadi.
Thank You, Elia & Friends
We would like to sincerely thank Elia and her friends for joining our Private Trek to Aling-Aling Waterfalls Bali.

From the early morning pickup in Ubud to the final moments of adventure in Sambangan, it was a pleasure to be part of their Bali journey.
We hope the memories of Sambangan’s rice fields, Blue Lagoon, Aling-Aling Waterfalls, waterfall sliding, and cliff jumping remain with them for many years to come.
And who knows—perhaps this was only their first adventure with us.
Sometimes, the best way to discover Bali is not simply to look at it, but to walk through it, jump into it, and experience it.
