Trekking to Bali’s Most Spectacular Waterfall
After arriving at the starting point, we began the trek toward the famous Sekumpul Waterfall, often described as the most beautiful waterfall in Bali.
The hike took approximately 2.5 hours in total and included village paths, tropical plantations, river crossings, and a number of steep steps leading into the lush valley below.
The trek is moderately challenging and does require a reasonable level of fitness. Some sections can be steep, so taking your time and wearing proper walking shoes is highly recommended.
Fortunately, our guides ensured that everyone felt comfortable throughout the journey, allowing plenty of time for rest stops whenever needed.
The effort was rewarded many times over.

As we entered the valley, multiple streams of water cascaded hundreds of metres down towering green cliffs, surrounded by dense tropical rainforest.
The sound of rushing water echoed throughout the valley, creating an atmosphere that was both powerful and peaceful.
Standing in front of the waterfalls felt almost surreal.
The cool mountain mist, fresh rainforest air, and dramatic scenery made it easy to understand why Sekumpul is considered one of Indonesia’s most spectacular natural attractions.
It was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places we visited during our entire trip to Bali.
A Delicious Fresh Seafood Lunch in Lovina
After completing the trek, we travelled to the peaceful coastal town of Lovina, where a delicious lunch awaited us.
Freshly prepared local fish, served with traditional Balinese side dishes, was exactly what we needed after an active morning exploring the waterfalls.
The meal was simple, authentic, and incredibly fresh, offering a wonderful opportunity to experience the flavours of North Bali while relaxing after the trek.
A Scenic Drive Through Bali’s Mountains
The journey back to our hotel was far from ordinary.
Rather than simply driving home, we travelled through Bali’s spectacular mountain roads, passing panoramic viewpoints, cool highland forests, traditional villages, and breathtaking landscapes.
The scenery during the return journey was every bit as memorable as the destination itself.
It provided the perfect ending to an already unforgettable adventure.
