Today, 18 August 2026, we had another wonderful adventure in Sekumpul Village, North Bali, with three guests from Italy—and this experience was extra special because they were not new to us.
They were returning guests of Bali Local Tour Guide who had already experienced two trekking adventures with our team: first, the Sambangan Waterfalls Trekking with Dwi Cahyadi, followed by our Early Morning Tamblingan Jungle Trek with Asmara Jaya.
After enjoying those experiences and feeling happy with our service as local guides, they decided to come back and explore another hidden gem with us: Sekumpul Waterfalls, this time accompanied by our local Sekumpul guide, Sule.
Discovering One of Bali’s Most Beautiful Waterfalls
They had heard that Sekumpul Waterfalls is considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Bali, so naturally, they were curious to see it for themselves.
The journey to Sekumpul Village was an adventure in itself. With Sule, our local guide from the Sekumpul area, they explored the lush tropical landscape, surrounded by green hills, jungle vegetation, and the peaceful atmosphere of rural North Bali.
When they finally arrived and the spectacular waterfalls came into view, their reaction said everything.
They told us that Sekumpul Waterfalls was the most beautiful waterfall they had ever visited.
For us as local guides, hearing those words was incredibly rewarding. We love taking our guests to places where they can experience the natural beauty of Bali beyond the usual tourist destinations.
No Swimming Today—but Plenty of Happy Memories
Unfortunately, our guests could not swim in the waterfall pools today because they had experienced sunburn on their backs after snorkeling in Amed and wanted to avoid further irritation.
But that certainly didn’t stop them from enjoying the experience.
Instead of swimming, they spent their time admiring the waterfalls, enjoying the jungle surroundings, and—of course—taking plenty of photographs.
And when we say plenty, we mean dozens of photos! 📸😄
As local guides, we were happily promoted to professional photographers for the day, capturing countless moments of our guests standing in front of the magnificent Sekumpul Waterfalls.
Sometimes, being a local guide means more than leading the trail. Sometimes, it means knowing exactly where to stand, finding the best angle, and taking just one more photo because the view is simply too beautiful to waste!
Three Treks, Three Local Guides, One Journey
What makes this story particularly meaningful to us is that these guests have now experienced three different trekking adventures with three different local guides from our Bali Local Tour Guide team:
🥾 Sambangan Waterfalls Trek — guided by Dwi Cahyadi
🌿 Early Morning Tamblingan Jungle Trek — guided by Asmara Jaya
💦 Sekumpul Waterfalls Trek — guided by Sule, our local guide from Sekumpul Village
Each guide comes from a different local area and brings their own knowledge, stories, and personal connection to the places they guide.
This is exactly what we believe a local guide experience in Bali should be: not just following a route, but exploring the island through people who genuinely know and live in these communities.
Why We Love Returning Guests
For Bali Local Tour Guide, having guests return to explore another destination with us is one of the greatest compliments we can receive.
They first trusted us for Sambangan, then experienced the Tamblingan rainforest, and now they came back again to discover Sekumpul.
It reminds us that what we are building is more than just a trekking business.
We want to create trust, friendship, and memorable experiences with people from around the world.
To our three wonderful guests from Italy, thank you for trusting us again and choosing Bali Local Tour Guide for your third adventure in Bali.
And a special thank you to our local guides Dwi Cahyadi, Asmara Jaya, and Sule for sharing their knowledge, passion, and local hospitality.
We hope this journey becomes another unforgettable chapter in your Bali adventure—and perhaps this isn’t the last trekking experience we will share together!
Sambangan → Tamblingan → Sekumpul
